Once again... trying to get in Darwin's way is NOT what is best for the human race.

I've seen that in other cities already, just not on a wide scale like this is. Also not around lamp posts and things, just around the waist high type posts. I doubt they'll be white if/when they roll them out.

I agree that it's a bit ridiculus though...people are stupid enough not to watch where they are going, they need to learn a lesson...

in NJ they just passed some law about using cellphones while driving, they encourage using headsets...does that mean I can dial or text, but if I have a headset I don't get fined?

If your caught its a $100 fine. I can't find the details of the law, someone should!

I think the fine just went up and police can pull you over for just that now. I want to be a cop who just hands out these tickets... I'd bring in a fortune!

Same here. There's a winter storm today and the roads are horrible. But no...still does not prevent people from talking mindlessly on the cell phones while driving. I had to pass one doing 15 in a 35 on a straight away. Understood being more cautious but when I passed her and the other 2 afraid to pass her, she was of course on the cell phone. 2 miles down the road when I was stopped at a light to take a left turn, guess who blew a solid red light....yes, her...

Stupid people, I swear it....

People who talk in a cellphone while driving are completely nuts and apparently unaware of the hazard their causing, or maybe they simply don't care.
I also hate people who don't use their seatbelt, and their excuse is ''I forgot to use it'' Well, you don't forget that kind of things unless your either drunk or think that the seatbelt looks bad on you.

I hope that people one day would loose their drivers license if they were talking in a cellphone while driving.

This goes right along with this article. I suppose the lamp posts need to unionize over the abuse.

I actually don't care about this one. Personally, I always wear my seat belt because I want to be safe. Those idiots that choose not to wear their seat belt, I say fine...power to them. It's Darwinism at it's finest if they do crash and die. The sat belt only risks that individuals safety not anyone elses' on the road, so I could care less. But the ell phones...that puts everyone around them in a potentially hazardous situation.
