I hate this job lol.. trying to get DSL to every frigging subscriber... Utility Commission mandate by 2015..

This Verizon(former GTE) area is sooooo far behind. Only a couple of their remote switches are DSL capable, and they only have a about 5% of the remote switches they need to break up the exchanges.

I have 39 phone exchanges, some of which have loops in excess of 90KFT. ...DSL works out to about 18KFT(1.5MB service). Old cables with 90% or higher fill(number of pairs used in a given cable)... makes for transferring circuits around a b!%@# to get HDSL and T1's to remote DSLAMs.

lol yeah... but my outfit only has contract until 2009. however, it sounds like they renewed for another 3 years.

This company does things really bass ackwards from other companies I've worked for. I cant fathom some of the reasoning behind the way they design certain things.
