Dad got me a used (old) Murray 11hp 36" cut riding mower for my B-day.

Took a lil while to get it running right though.. fuel cap has to be vented/cracked or it vapor locks. Its rough looking, but made short work of the yard.

The damn grass was 4ft tall in some places. We raked it all up and took it out to the farm to feed to the cows. You wouldn't believe a 68'x150' lot would have enuff grass to fill the bed of a F-350.

My old 3.5hp pusher about kills me. back/knees/hips.. that and it stalled if you even looked like you were gonna push it into high grass.

Laughing - Nice!

Now load it in the back of that F-350 and head east. I need a hand.

Let's see, my tiny lot divided by 36" cuts... you should be done in about 45 seconds.

Sweet, I've got an OLD murray. Probably similar to yours. It used to run OK, but the starter fried on it.

I got mine for free because my parents neighbors couldn't get it running and bought a new one. I took it home and drained the diesel out of the gas tank, flushed it several times, cleaned the carburator, changed the spark plug and she fired right up. I got 2 summers of work out of it until the starter fried last Sept. I will fix it eventually, but it's not really high on my list since I have a 13yr old automatic lawnmower (My son and a regular push mower). Wink

It's about time too, it was more expensive for nearly all of last year.
