The 1000 watt rating of the transformer is only telling you the MAX wattage you can pull through that transformer before you start to overheat the windings and risk destroying it.
I would be a whole lot more concerned about the 50Hz vs. 60HZ issue. |
It will probably use 90 to 130w due to electrical inefficiency (transforming 220 50Hz to 24-28VDC to charge the battery, and then transforming it back to the desired line voltage)
I'm sure that APC/other UPS makers have a model to fit that need, if all the devices are externally powered (wall wart/power brick) you might be able to get the correct model for the local current and use a standard local UPS (might be cheaper than a specialty model UPS) |

Hmmm... I stand corrected. Looks like APC has something that will work for you. |

I was always under the impression that the transformers here pulled exactly their ratings. Everyone in my squadron tells us that when new people arrive. But that ups is awesome, I looked through APC for awhile and couldn't find one. I suck at google _________________ Nothing says good job like a firm open palmed slap on the behind. |

heehh Not to put them down, but becareful of what they say if they are not technical/electrically (like an electrical engineer) sound people...I remember going overseas with the Military, and hearing all the inaccuracies from people that had been there for years...
All it takes is one person to assume he knows, and to pass it on. Especially since it sounds good and rigth...
Just like the theory that a 1,000W power supply, always pulls 1,000W regardless whether it needs it or not. |

If it did it would be a 1000watt heater! (if you're only using 65, the other 935 has to go somewhere. Just like you might have a 600watt PSU, the 600 watts is maximum output, even if the computer only needs 300 watts most of the time. |
