A transformer will not pull 1000 watts if you are only using 65 watts on the output. if you are pulling 65 watts on the output the transformer will be pulling 65 watts from the mains.
The 1000 watt rating of the transformer is only telling you the MAX wattage you can pull through that transformer before you start to overheat the windings and risk destroying it.
I would be a whole lot more concerned about the 50Hz vs. 60HZ issue. |
