The home version of Mcafee bites serious A$$... the corporate install version is great. Been using it for years... works *so* much better than the crap they push out on the home users.
Remove the Mcafee crap, replace with either TrendMicro, PANDA, or if you want free.... http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1 will do well too.
Been running that on my sons machine for the last year without any issues. _________________ http://www.tech-daddy.com |

What happens in my case with AVG 7 free is that, when there is a virus, it asks me to copy it to the virus vault or continue. It detects the virus, but it's not stopping them... (Was NOT like this with AVG 6) Then you do a system scan to remove the virus. |

Agreed. Most of the time, the home version is just bloated to make it all user-friendly. Enterprise and corporate versions are straight-forward and are much better in performance, afterall, it's for business' right? |

Glad you've found an antivirus to your liking, but if you ever consider trying out others, I've heard that AntiVir is quite a good one and it is also free. Check it out if you are ever interested: http://www.free-av.com/ |

Yeah, the McAfee AV prog of old was great, the new ones suck. Go with AVG or NOD32 for great AV software _________________ "Who's doing what now?" |
