The home version of Mcafee bites serious A$$... the corporate install version is great. Been using it for years... works *so* much better than the crap they push out on the home users.
Remove the Mcafee crap, replace with either TrendMicro, PANDA, or if you want free.... http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1 will do well too.
Been running that on my sons machine for the last year without any issues.
