MPG works fine for me under Xp64, but the others have issues. Can play one normally, then the next one stutters, bad color, all kinds of issues.
A codec is basically a fancy name for a driver. Instead of a driver that controls a piece of hardware, a codec allows you to run a piece of audio or video software.
If it's a codec you'd have to know exactly which one it is, and do a full clean of it, including editing registry, files, etc. it can be a royal pain in the butt if you don't know where they are all at. |
