At least the compaq doesn't have an Intel Inside. It's semi-saved. _________________ Nothing says good job like a firm open palmed slap on the behind. |

Yeah what he said is right. There's no point in Intel right now. Why use DD2 when the AMD boards with DDR can perform just as well, and the DDR costs less than DDR2. NF4 boards already came out with SLI, intel's SLI is still in the works. Also.... intel sux cause I said so. _________________ Nothing says good job like a firm open palmed slap on the behind. |

It comes down to price. As far as I know you have to get a Xeon CPU to get the EMT64 extensions on an Intel CPU. Which is in the $245 range for a 2.8Ghz. Versus around that price you can get an A64 3400+ for less, and a 3500+ for about $20 more.
I would suggest getting a budget of what you want to spend, and price a comparably priced A64 system and a Intel EMT64 based system and see which one gives you the biggest chubby. |
