Why is Gentoo so friggin difficult??? |
Customizability.
I personally think that Gentoo is alot easeir than other distros, once you get past the install. _________________ It's got something to do with motherboards and fuzzy logic, f**k, I don't know... |

If your a major Linux n00b, Gentoo is not for you. |
Have you played with Fedora? I need to replace my old RH 7.3 install... (It's like over a year old, and in Linux time that's like 7 million billion years times 10) |

Not yet, but I'm hearing some good things about it. I'll probably install it in vmware for some testing, to get the hang of how it does things.
My router is based off of RH 7.2. _________________ It's got something to do with motherboards and fuzzy logic, f**k, I don't know...

However, now I have to figure out the entire SWF thing it keeps asking for...
Yea, I know its flash, but how do I get flash installed for linux??? |
You need to find the flash plugin RPM and install it, then restart firefox, type about:plugins in the address box, and see if it's in there. _________________ It's got something to do with motherboards and fuzzy logic, f**k, I don't know... |
