So I have spent like 14 hours (not in a row) trying to get Gentoo Linux installed...

I am following the "how to" to the letter...

I get the Tarball part done, I get the Portal thing done... Then nothing works.

I'm not looking for answers or help.

Is there a "insert-CD-and-hit-go-for-operating-system" version of Linux?

I'm really tired of /mnt/phuck/dev/biotch/yerass/ mntpnt/-bash !!!!

Fedora Core, Mandrake, Suse, etc.

If your a major Linux n00b, Gentoo is not for you.

Customizability.

I personally think that Gentoo is alot easeir than other distros, once you get past the install.

Have you played with Fedora? I need to replace my old RH 7.3 install... (It's like over a year old, and in Linux time that's like 7 million billion years times 10)

Not yet, but I'm hearing some good things about it. I'll probably install it in vmware for some testing, to get the hang of how it does things.

My router is based off of RH 7.2. Laughing

You need to find the flash plugin RPM and install it, then restart firefox, type about:plugins in the address box, and see if it's in there.
