Android Tablet

Anybody gotten a hold of an Android Tablet yet? I see they are starting to show up in various places and have been considering getting one.

I have the Camangi one... I like it better than when I reviewed it, mostly due to two firmware updates and a bunch of apps I added that aren't officially supported. Thing is just locked down too tight... and video is still terrible.

The Archos one looks pretty nice, though!

Yea, I've had probably four different Archos devices so I'm of course looking at theirs...

I have the first 5" IT 250GB and recently got the 5" IT Android 500GB.

The issue I had with the IT5 was the OS, it was very unstable. So I bought the 5" IT with Android. The stock firmware sucks, and my plan was to root anyway. With the help of a forum, it was rooted. I haven't checked in awhile, but afaik, no Android 2.x for the Archos.

The thing about it is the hardware really isn't that great. The Nexus and Samsung Galaxy S have better specs. And the Galaxy S has its own GPU!

Checking out Archos today, and noticed they've released their new line-up of Android Tablets...

They're advertising, a 10" Android 2.2 tablet for under $300...probably $299 LOL

Seriously have to consider that...so have to decide where to use my computer money...

My current system is a Core 2 Duo 6750, could stick with that and buy this...

Or continue with my current plan to do a system upgrade to an AMD Phenom II x6 1090T...
