I am so F**KING PISSED!

After spending $1,191.75 on a New Nikon digital camera and some accessories. I get it delivered yesterday only to find the cameras built in flash does not work (an issue I've taken up with Nikon tech support).

So I go to New Eggs site to fill in an RMA form only to find out they have only two options...repair or refund.

I don't want a refund, and I should not have to repair it. What about their "exchange"???
Their order form clearly states "**This item is NOT REFUNDABLE, exchange for same exact item only!!**"

So why am I now having to sent it to Nikon for repair?????

They (New Egg) would not even post the review I gave on their link to the camera. I don't think they will be getting ANY more of my money!!

That is all they have listed. Do repair. They will just replace it. They don't repair anything. Don't sweat it Trek.... NewEgg will come through.

Exactly what EC said. I have RMA'd lots of stuff to Newegg and they always replace with the repair option. They may get it fixed and then put it up on the refurb list, but they will not bother shipping you your camera repaired.

If ANYONE in the world will treat you right, its NEWEGG!!!

I tried both options!

Both error out saying:
"This item is not refundable" and "This product is serviced by the Manufacturer"

And they still have not posted my review!

F**K the F**KING F**KERS!

If you wnat your review to be published, you have to give it at least 4 stars or maybe even 5... Then they dont glance at it and it might get through.

If the product arrived defective you have the right to recieve a new, working unit, in exchange for the defective unit. (thats part of the uniform commerial code, ie Federal Law!) How they acomplish that is, to some degree, up to them.

from the Newegg RMA FAQ
" If it's defective we will replace it (rma type repair)."
If the web form is not working correctly, call the customerservice line and calmly explain the problem.

Call their support... I can guarantee they will take care of you. This is just one of those website things I think. I really wouldn't sweat it. I know personally NewEgg took care of me when Sapphire phucked me.

Yeah, sounds like something they should be able to work out for you! I was looking through all my past RMA's, and it looks like all were 'repair' (except for the 2 I asked for refunds one)... but all cases were replaced with new... Like mobo last week, and some ddr in the spring.
