That's awesome. I lost a work unit a couple days ago, but should be contributing again in a day or so. Went a month and a half without a hiccup and schools out for one day and the kids manage to fubar it. Grin Had to get them to turn it back on so I could restart everything via ssh.

Does that mobo take a daughter card to add the other 4 cpu's? Which Opterons are they?

I'm not sure if someone has posted this Q yet, but does anyone else have screen lag or scroll lag when they are folding with Folding@home GPU?

Like, the windows take much more time to minimize/maximize or move around, the text in the browser shows much slower when you're scrolling... I read that it was normal, but maybe someone has a fix when you're folding with an Nvidia card?

I stopped Folding with Nvidia cards because of that... May be a few pages earlier in this thread where I complained. Never used to do that, but started to this year. It meant having to stop and start the client manually, and I didn't always remember to restart... Bang Head

Yeah, it seriously sucks. Some of the larger WU (> 1000 points) cause less screen lag than the smaller ~300 point WUs, but it's still annoying. It's too bad really, cuz it's what's keeping me from folding more often.

I started folding on my GPU again yesterday... Actually two 5850s in CrossFire... I think it just sees one, although I do not know. Took a bunch of extra flags to make it work at all. All I do know is that the production seems weak, and neither GPU is running hot... Confused

EDIT - But, the screen doesn't lag while doing anything else AND I don't get the whining like I did with the Nvidia cards.

Congrats to thegrub for taking over first place on the bigbruin.com folding team and only days away from moving into the top 1000 contributors. Over the last couple months, the bigbruin.com team has also managed to move solidly into the top 300 teams and is currently around number 270. This is a very respectable result considering the small number of active folders contributing.

Congrats again to thegrub!
