Two 320gb barracudas (7200.12) in RAID0, Think theyd be ok and reasonably fast?? _________________ Coolermaster HAF 932 II Coolermaster Real Power M1000 II Gigabyte EX58-UD5 II i7 920 @ 3.2Ghz II Corsair H100 CPU Cooler II 24gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz II 2x MSI GTX 460 Hawk Talon Attack SLI II Corsair F240 SSD II 2x3Tb Seagate (RAID0) II 1Tb Seagate 7200.12 II 1.5Tb Seagate 7200.11 II Pinoneer BluRay Writer
Depends, what do you use them for?
With large files they'd kick serious a$$, but for every day use they'll be just as fast, or maybe even slower than a single Raptor.
Well mainly everyday use although i record tv which end at about 2gb files and i also do graphic design on photoshop which can come out at large files (200-300mb).
They be ok you think?? _________________ Coolermaster HAF 932 II Coolermaster Real Power M1000 II Gigabyte EX58-UD5 II i7 920 @ 3.2Ghz II Corsair H100 CPU Cooler II 24gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz II 2x MSI GTX 460 Hawk Talon Attack SLI II Corsair F240 SSD II 2x3Tb Seagate (RAID0) II 1Tb Seagate 7200.12 II 1.5Tb Seagate 7200.11 II Pinoneer BluRay Writer
Cool cool . Have to get those then.
Dont suppose you know if these drives have NCQ?? Read specs from a store and it said they dont have it but looked at reviews and said they do.
You know whether they do?? _________________ Coolermaster HAF 932 II Coolermaster Real Power M1000 II Gigabyte EX58-UD5 II i7 920 @ 3.2Ghz II Corsair H100 CPU Cooler II 24gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz II 2x MSI GTX 460 Hawk Talon Attack SLI II Corsair F240 SSD II 2x3Tb Seagate (RAID0) II 1Tb Seagate 7200.12 II 1.5Tb Seagate 7200.11 II Pinoneer BluRay Writer

The 7200.12's (and all the recent Barracuda drives) have NCQ... PDF Specs.
With the speed of these drives, typical desktop use may be just fine with a single drive. Could get one bigger drive for less than two of these. But, if you want the computer nerd coolness of RAID 0, the price / specs are right with what you have picked.
Lol, well i may go for the computer nerd coolness XD. Do they have any kind of performance boost for gaming?? _________________ Coolermaster HAF 932 II Coolermaster Real Power M1000 II Gigabyte EX58-UD5 II i7 920 @ 3.2Ghz II Corsair H100 CPU Cooler II 24gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz II 2x MSI GTX 460 Hawk Talon Attack SLI II Corsair F240 SSD II 2x3Tb Seagate (RAID0) II 1Tb Seagate 7200.12 II 1.5Tb Seagate 7200.11 II Pinoneer BluRay Writer
How easy is RAID0 to setup when building and setting up a new pc and before instaling an OS?? _________________ Coolermaster HAF 932 II Coolermaster Real Power M1000 II Gigabyte EX58-UD5 II i7 920 @ 3.2Ghz II Corsair H100 CPU Cooler II 24gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz II 2x MSI GTX 460 Hawk Talon Attack SLI II Corsair F240 SSD II 2x3Tb Seagate (RAID0) II 1Tb Seagate 7200.12 II 1.5Tb Seagate 7200.11 II Pinoneer BluRay Writer
