Throw the stock cooler in the trash
I've had good results the Zalman's and Tuniq's on the Q6600
Use some good quality paste like Arctic Silver
An if you want to be perfect... LAP-IT! _________________ Antec 1200 Case, Q6600 - OCed to 3.2, ZALMAN 9700, GA-EP45-UD3R, OCZ Reaper 4GB1066, 9800 GT Superclocked, ATI Theater 650 PRO, Antec NeoPower 650

Shouldn't Vista SP1 make all 4GB visible? |
Vista SP1 32 supports up to 4GB. It's showing mine in my computer properties. |

yeah, i want to confirm that too.. want to head back to 32-bit for reason of compatibiliy.. 32-bit has wider range that 64-bit (though 64-bit is faster)

anyway, for the thread starter. before OC'ing, just make sure you have a decent cpu cooler. it's easier to point out where you went wrong in OC'ing.. when it freezes, your pretty sure it's not because your temps got way too high at initial booting.. _________________ "I was born intelligent, but EDUCATION ruined me!"
