I don't remember seeing the window coming up when I was upgrading the wifes system.

And if you slipstream it you 100% don't need it................ Wave

I started out with a slipstreamed SP2, then installed SP3. ..never paid much attention to things.

I'm not even sure if I have WGA passed yet.. it asked me once to do it and I clicked no, but it still updated SP1 and SP2 into my comp.. I thought it wouldnt proceed until i did it but it updated nevertheless. it keeps asking me time to time, i click no, and it goes away. Not sure if it automatically did it yet, haven't been paying attention in a while. but yea, I started up my comp once and it auto updated something and restarted comp.. maybe it did it there.

I always just download Windows Defender and install it. It validates really quick and it's out of the way that way.

I try to stay off MicroShafts web site, every time you go over there it takes an hour to find your butt.

Been sorta holding off on doing a full system reinstall until SP3 comes out. Looks like it's about time.

I tried the Defender thing a while back and it didn't work worth a crap, I just use Ad-Aware and Avast to protect my system................ Grin

I'm using it right now, I've noticed no problems. Everything seems to be working just as fine as it always has.

Me neither, I have been using it and its running perfectly ok in my system, no conflicts or anomalies whatsoever... so far, so good
