Now I'm not positive, but I don't think the GX2 is technically the 9800 cores, last I heard its actualy two G92 cores if I'm not mistaken. |

I guess it's two 8800gts cores down clocked to 600Mhz. that explains why it benchmarks like an 8800gts sli. _________________

There was one review where the thing kept locking up due to heat...can't imagine why that would be _________________

So, the oc3d guys have released the review of the ASUS card. I noticed that they compared it with a tri-SLI 8800 Ultra setup. This, of course, made me wonder what a tri-SLI 9800 GX2 benchmark would look like. Would the power grid for the reviewer's state go offline? Would time itself cease and fold in on itself as the GPUs pushed pixels to the screen faster than the electrons in the cable could handle? Would the monitor blow up? These and other questions remain to be answered!
So one of you reviewers here better get a tri-SLI 9800GX2 working (tell the retailers you're justborrowing the cards!). |

I don't think upgrading from a G92 GTS to a GX2 is worth it.I would buy an 3870X2 which equals to Ultra in most cases but priced much lower. |
