Lost a domain through registerfly.com

for the past 6 years I had a domain that auto renewed (under my new credit card lol) but 3 days ago it didn't... The domain is under registerfly.com which was apparently sued and forced to close. I would always get something from them saying it auto-renewed or that it was expiring soon. Turns out they were screwing other people by not auto-renewing the domains or even buying the domains for people who were paying them. I called godaddy who my other domain is through and he said when registerfly went belly-up a bunch of the domains including mine went to enom.com ...Is there any way I can get this back? Since some pr0n company already bought the domain (xratedcc.com cc=car club) I'm going to assume no but is there anything I can do? It was getting a ton of hits because of the name as you can tell lol...

If there is anything you could do it would probably cost you lawyer fees and other crap.

Really sucks that it happened.

You'd have to get a lawyer, and even then who knows the outcome.

However it's HIGHLY unlikely... I just poked around, and it appears the new owner is:

Michael Ancher
Krakovska 25
CZ-110 00 Prague 1
Czech Republic

Only other suggestion is to contact enom.com and see if they are willing to do anything. Probably won't though. Sorry Fox... Sad

As a last resort you could try to sit on the domain using something like goddays service where they will watch for the domain to expire and then register it as soon as it does.

yea im prolly gonna have to deal with not having it anymore... im not mad so much at losing the domain but rather the people that go to the site to contact eachother... There were a lot of people that have been going there just to get in contact with other people. Everyone knows that address and it would be a pain to get a new one but oh well thats life right lol...

I don't know anything about the server files but all the images and everything people were hosting through there what will happen to those? do we get a default address now or do i need to buy another one?

The hosting company is through ipowerweb.com

You won't lose any files, you will likely have to reconfigure stuff though. Also and one that has links to pics/files/posts that are on the site will either have to be changed or ... well they might get a surprise.
