Too lazy to start SMP? But not to install Linux?

The "new" Windows text only SMP client is simple and shouldn't take any more effort than the standard FAH client.

A couple quick ideas,
First, you have to have a password. A blank password for the user won't work.
Second, You have to have .net 2.0 installed if you are using anything but Vista.
Last, If you are using Vista, you need to disable UAC for the install and then you can re-enable it when done.
It could be something else, but these three seem to be the most common

200,000 came a lot faster than Even I thought it would. Smile
BB.com is climbing in the rankings pretty fast too. Grin Grin

Laughing - feeling nostalgic!

I was looking around to see what my universal total would be and checked in on the stats page for IANAG and FOC... I thought I had a huge score back in the FOC days... Turns out I put up a total of 5588 points... Laughing - and that took forever on the processors of the day.

Did you know you were still Folding there acruxksa?

Ya, I know.
I think there are a couple comps out there that I built and donated that still have F@H setup for FOC/IANAG. Amazing because that was a long time ago (2 1/2yrs.). I built a few comps (AthlonXP 1700's) with my old parts and donated them to big brothers big sisters, guess they haven't gotten around to re-installing the OS on them. That should be a stellar review for Win2k, because I sent a copy (legit) with each of them (needed the tax deduction) Grin.

Since we are sporting band avatars, I figured I'd get in line and follow suit. Wink

Darn, getting the windows smp client running on vista is a pain in the @$$. I've had to re-install it a couple times now. Didn't seem to run very well with UAC enabled, even after the install. Oh well, UAC is a pain anyway.

I've switched over to Vista Home Premium 32bit for the time being, just to see how things run on my desktop. Ran several of the betas on my laptop, but never on the desktop. seems alright, nothing special though. To keep my sanity I'm dual booting vista with sabayon 3.25 64bit and beryl. Grin
