Yeah - Instead of each of four cores throwing out a few hundred here and there, the machine as a whole is putting out 1760 every 25-30 hours.

Has always seemed like it should do more, but oh well! Grin

C2D's rock. %75 of my points are from one 3.2Ghz C2D, so you would definitely be competitive

Watch out for the PS3s that are folding. They can complete a WU in 8-9 hrs compared to Windows systems which take several days!!!

I checked the team radar thing on the stats page earlier today and a team of PS3 folders was going to blow by us... They are so far gone now, I can't find them on the radar. usually the chart shows overtakes in days or weeks...

So... you turning Folding on or what JimBowy? Grin

EDIT - none of these are the ones I saw, but look at the rate of climb on these three PS3 teams...

The folding@home forums are saying that ps3's put out about 900-1000 points per day (each work unit is only worth about 300-400points and takes about 8hrs to complete), so they are no faster than the GPU or SMP clients. I'm betting that the few ps3 teams that are out there just have a lot of contributing members which makes their production seem higher.

I have a WU with 1150/5000 frames completed. Well it seems like it is taking forever.

Folding reports I'm doing 16s/frame, how does this compare to you guys?

It seems to me at this rate it will take days to complete one damn WU!

Mine all seem to be 500,000 step units and it takes about 22 minutes to complete 1% (5,000) of each I have done recently.

The math doesn't seem to work, but I am putting up a 1500-1760 update every day to day and a half.
