Quick question for you guys...
When I have my desktop speakers plugged into the speaker port on the back of the mobo and my headset pluged into the front I don't get any sounds out of the headset just the desktop speakers. When I unplug the desktop speakers I get sound from the headset... Hmmm
Any ideas???

There might be a switch in your audio software you can flip to tell the system which port has priority, but in general it probably doesn't know which one to send sound to and defaults to the rear.
And that audio switch idea may just be in my head, too...
My DFI has a jumper to control this and when a front-port block is connected, the jumper space is used up by the connector. If the connector is done backwards, the result is what you have. Of course, in my situation, it doesn't matter as I have a NewQ Platinum which is an old-school method for having front audio (and FM). I suggest that you review your motherboard manual and double check your connections and, if you're 110% positive that it's as it should be, then check the software settings as BB suggested. It sounds to me like your speakers are outputting from the headphone jack and the headphones are connected as speakers.
