From the front panel area you should have a bunch of wires coming out of it. These wires, would be designated for the funtion for them (USB, Audio, 1394, Front panel). Just need ot find the correct header on your motherboard to plug in the audio port. Usually the headers look something like this (don't remember the exact number of pins though):
. . . . . .
| | (for audio, two are usually jumpered)
. . . . . (believe one is usually missing so you can put it on correctly)
As for a printable case install manual, I'm not sure, they usually do not come with one, unless there is something unusual about it (VFD, Remote, Fan Controller, etc). My guess would be to check wtih the manufacturer, maybe they have something on their website... |

For the Asus MB: look here
Hopefully you have the manuals for your MB...that will have the location of the headers you need to connect to your front panel. |

Don't you wish motherboard and case makers would get together and have a standard for these connectors so they could make one piece connectors instead of separate wires |

i have it hooked up, the problem is that the haedphones work (however when i drop a window down i hear a noise in the headset) and the mic does not work at all. the windows mic setup tool shows the mic as working. does anyone have any suggestions of what i should do (step by step) on how to get it to function correctly? the case is ac97 yet the mobo is hi def. i must also state that the mobo is one of the piece of asus p5nsli mobos. i have had this mobo for 6 months and i have updated the bios and corrected numerous other problems (including disabling my HDD ncq) just so it would work the way it is now and it still has issues and asus has been no help at all. i heard asus products were good but i do not see it at all with this product, it has been one hassle after another. |
