From my older nikon coolpix to a friends recent purchase of one, I'd high advise against them.
My mom has had a Sony T series for quite a while now and she loves it. It takes high quality picutes has plenty of features and she has NEVER run into any issues with it. _________________ ABAP? What did you call me?

She is currently using my old Canon A40 and I have a Sony T7.
I dig the T7 except for the memory stick and the fact that you have to pull the battery to charge it. Otherwise it takes great pictures and is way too easy to use.
I think I am going to go play with the ELPH and see how it feels.
I was going to throw the Nikon in the comparison too but I don't think I will now.
It sure is amazing how advanced these things have gotten and how high the MP count is getting for the price. I haven't shopped for a camera is a long time.
Spire, I'd say go with the Canon ELPH, its what I'm using now. I think we have the 6MP vers. here. Its very small and it should be just at your budget. _________________ - Jim
