So.... looking at doing an upgrade on a system, to one that uses DDR2.
Choices... Intel, AMD.
Further Choices... In the same price range I can either get a single core AMD AM2 3800+, or for $40 less a Intel D 805, or for about $30 more a Intel D 930 (Those are the only 2 I would consider worth the $$$).
By looking at some reviews, the D 805 isn't going to dent the 3800+, until you do massive OCing (which it is most likely capable of). However, I guess I'm not overly into OCing, so not to thrilled with that prospect. |

I also have to agree with your wife because of the massive CPU price cuts which take place in about a month. Massive price cuts, just hold out. |
