I've sworn that I'd eat a bullet from one of my .45's before I have a Intel for main desktop. lol

It's funny too... because I haven't actually strongly considered a Intel CPU sine the 90's. My last Intel CPU I bought for a computer was a Pentium 120Mhz I believe.

...Pentium 75 here. I bought a desktop AND a laptop at the same time back in '95. The lappy would still fire up today if I could find the AC-DC convertor. ..Texas Instr(Acer now) 465CD

The E6600 price would be around the X2 4600+, and at least at a glance the E6600 seems like it would run rings around the 4600+, that 4MB Cache should make a HUGE difference.
