In which case, the standard Windows firewall is "strong enough," granted this is a PC we're talking about and not a server. In either case, if the port is open, you obviously will need it open in the software firewall, as well. |

The difference is that if there's no software firewall, the opened port will not appear stealth, but closed on online firewall test. A firewall like KPF 2.1.6 let you select what kind of packet you want from what port for which IP with a specific application, so if it's turned off, the port is stealth. |
