I just got my new opteron 148 and am testing stable stock speeds. If I could find another evga 7800gt co 256mb card I might get close to you aslyum...I guess they stopped making it when the 7900's came out.

As of now, 200x11 @1.4v, ddr400 @ 2.7v 2-2-2-5 I'm getting around 3360.

EDIT

with good OC, I'm at 3,498 3dmark06

3DMark06: 1280x1024, No AA - 2930

Razz

Switching to a D805 overclocked to 3.7GHz netted me 37 Marks... Confused

2967 is the new score. Laughing

yeah - I just assumed some extra processing power would do more. Maybe if I got it to 800MHz FSB like the D840 it would matter more.

I've really gotta believe that in my case my CPU would bottleneck me BIG TIME, I know it does in source.

ASUS N6600GT + Athlon 2500+ = my poor socket A chip struggles to keep up.
