Yup dat's me
I have a Zalman 9000-something on order. Stock cooling makes for crappy o/cing.
I'll update that thread when it comes in. Hopefully I can get something better than 2.9
Of course if I won that WC unit that a certain someone is giving away *winkwink* that would be nice _________________

Apparrently the P4 D 805 is the best bang-for-the-buck CPU at the moment for O/C'er especially.... the potential for O/C'ing with that CPU is pretty impressive... provided you have the proper cooling to compensate. _________________ "Who's doing what now?" |

From the look of the common OCer's expereince (mrweasel), the Opterons still have some mighty fine OCer's that could give it a run for its money. _________________ ABAP? What did you call me? |

both of them are pretty much even (3Dmark2001 ~ 13600 w/ GF6800GS) at stock, in my experience. I dumped a 165 for the 805D _________________

This processor rock, consider it only cost about $130 (pricegrabber.com). _________________ Rig 1: AMD 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.55Ghz w/ Swiftech Water Cool | Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe/XP Pro SP2 | Enermax EG701AX 600W Power Supply | 2 X BFG GeForce 7900GTX PCI-e @ 690/1750 (both Water Cool by Swiftech) | Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS | Klipsch THX 5.1 Speakers | 2 X 1024MB Corsair DDR PC3500LL PRO @ 550Mhz | WD Raptor 150 GB and Seagate SATA 300 GB | DVD-RW PX-760A X 2 | Thermaltake Armor Black Case |

they may be even performance-wise but you still get better temps on the optys - those chips hot up like hell man - tho the conroes and the meroms seem a bit better in that regard _________________
