OK, I like most of you have been using Newegg for a number of years. Lately though some of their practices, namely shipping cost and methods, has changed.
My last two orders from them I chose the "UPS Guaranteed 3 day shipping" option. After all.. 3 days is good enough for me most of the time. However every time they ship they use UPS GROUND, not UPS 3 day select. UPS Ground is NOT guaranteed in 3 days to any place. And of course on the last 2 orders, they have been delayed.
Pretty pissed about that... specially on this order because I needed the order today so I would have chosen another shipping method.
I wish they'd go back to FedEx as the primary shipper. Or maybe it's time to go shop more at ZZF.

Yeah ZZF, still uses FedEx! But, the have changed a bit too. Instead of 2 day shipping being free, it is now 5-7 day shipping that is free. But still, they are still offering 2 day at what has to be a good loss... It seems to be $1.99 on all items I have looked at, even multiple items. Newegg now sums shipping, so each thing costs more, even if it doesn't impact size or weight.

I'm not happy with Newegg's shipping price policy, but the UPS option was most welcomed with me.
Fedex always screws up delivery for me. Whether it be to the wrong house or because no one is home.. UPS will leave me a note in the door stating to check my back porch.
Last 3 Fedex's I had, 1 went acrossed town. 2nd went to neighbor and sat there for a week. 3rd ended up being sent back to sender because I couldn't be home due to working 20 miles away.

OK... so I'm looking at building a new server. And I was shopping at Newegg. When I noticed something.
Anything that has more than a 1yr warranty, they will sell you a "Net Replacement Plan" on. Including things that include a LIFETIME warranty. However, they won't sell you an extended warranty on things that only have a 1 yr warranty.
I dont' care for Newegg's shipping policy either. I look at the bottom line at several places before I buy from Newegg. ZZF and ClubIT are usually the places I hit first.
Had to RMA some ram to Newegg last month, and it went smoothly. Sent the ram back (the DFI Expert didn't like it too well), and within a week my credit card was credited (minus the damn restock fee).

The problem is of course, ClubIT doesn't have the select of NE, and ZZF's website searching sucks. Also ZZF seems to have dropped the customer service ball from what I've read at reseller ratings.
