EC is being a Power Supply Snob.... Cool

That Antec, while not being optimum, it would work for you just fine.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817171001

So this one is good.I like the price.

What i think i may try

Buy the Sagitta case and i going to see how good the psu with the case does.If it works fine for me then i have another psu .If it quits after a day or two then i have one. But i think im going to try the one with the case. What are some signs of the psu not working like it should be.Besides it be really hot?

Or should i just toss the psu that comes with the case on the shelf and put the cooler master in?

thanks

Something to think about, but are you certain that your mobo will work in an ATX case?

Alot of those OEM computer builders are known for using a proprietary motherboard format. ...maybe not so much today as they used to.

Most power supplies that are 24 pin, are also 20 pin. They usually have a removable set of pins to make it fit the 20 pins.

Pretty much, the biggest concern on a power supply is if the power is stable. If you have a digital multi-meter, you can check the power to make sure it's coming out stable. I can give you the rails and how to check if you want to do that.

Most power supplies that come with cases, are not optimal, but they do the job. OUt of the 6 systems I have running, two are using power supplies that came with the case (too lazy to change them out). THey've been running for over 2 years on them without any problems.

Yep. Cause most people underrate the most important thing in the computer.

Simple way to think of it... Yes, you can eat at McDonald's every day of your life. However, it will be a very short life. Or you can eat a healthy well balanced diet and have a much longer, and more productive life.

The PSU is what "feeds" your computer. So you decided... McDonald's, or Healthy...

Besides of you spend the money on a good power supply to start with it will last over several computer builds. You can probably get 5 - 10 yrs out of a good PSU.

Check first before assuming that a 24-pin is also 20-pin compatible. I have at least one here that requires an adpator harness, which it didn't come with ( but I happened to have one).

Only problem is it doesn't have SLI support "built-in" (no dual 12v)
