Sorry, but thats quite easy to do. The hardest bit it getting it all put up in the right place - once it's plugged in and running, a standard cue stack off and Avolites pearl or strand 300/500 wouldn't even break a sweat. If you use the modi interface on the desks, then you wouldn't even have to time it properly, just put in cue markers where the track is - you coudl do it for nay mmusical track.

So, why does the grass right in front of the camera move in that jerky motion? Still frame?

And the rows of trees on the yard for example... When you light up the ones in the rear only, why don't you see at least the silhouette of the ones that are supposed to be in front of them? If the trees were solid, you wouldn't see the ones in the back at all, but if they were wire frame things, you should at least see that. My guess is he only has a few, and moves them for the different shots.

You might be right BB.
This is why I lost my photo analyst job at the DIA, I keep saying "no WMD!" and he kept saying "WMD!,WMD!" (this was before the fingers in the ears "na na na na na na I can't hear you" business) and whoever was wrong had to resign.
Hey! wait a minute.......

But not this time.
The today show did a interview with the creator and his family, this morning
25,000 lights in real time, on 6-10pm each night in Mason, OH.
He broadcasts the sound in FM stereo with no speakers at the house to avoid irritating the neighbors (but he says you can hear it loudly from some cars Rolling Eyes )
Unfortunatly NBC has not posted their high quality video of it (MUCH, MUCH,MUCH better than any version I've seen on the web) YET!
The guy is a engineer for some GE company (so sort of an NBC employee, not eligible for the Xmas light contest Bang Head )
Costs them about $150 in electricity for december @ 4 hours a night.
