I have never considered that idea, but it doesn't seem right to me. I will look into it later and see if the pins, wires, and voltages match.
But, your best bet may be to get a 20-pin to 24-pin power adaptor.

(I am using a Ultra Xconnect 500W on the system I am on now! Been going strong despite all the stress testing for over a year.) |

well both tha 24pin and 4pin are both 12V on tha Ultra X-Connect and believe that tha mobo 24ATX and 4pin are both 12V.
anywhere else i could get that 20 to 24 adapter but in a round cable (if it even exists) or something more "stylish".
thanks |

so does this mean ill be able to use tha 20pin to plug into my 24 atx connector? i think i remember reading about something on tha DFI mobo that has tha 4pin plastic stoppers in tha 24atx power connector.
but back to my original question, would i be able to use that 4pin 12V plug for my mobo? if not, i could buy an adapter, but id prefer not to if i dont have to.
thanks to all |
