Well aws you guys know, my mobo crashed (mabye so i sitll am goping to try reseating my cpu)

but anyways, i had two raptor drives on raid that had my windows OS and ALL of my important files on it...

since i no longer can use my mobo for a raid (im buying a 64bit mobo and building me a new system now)

is there any way to retrieve that info, do i just remake the raid on my new mobo or will the info be there even if i dont raid? or is tyhe data lost forever?

I am assuming you did RAID 0 for the speed with the Raptors?

Unless you buy a MOBO with the same raid controller (possibly manufacturer with a diff controller might work too) your RAID 0 will most likely be gone.

If you did RAID 1 mirroring, you may be alright.

i did a raid 0...

my mobo was a Foxconn 875 Series, 875P...
the new mobo i bought is a Asus A8N-E, im guessing the raid 0 i snot the same, is there any software out there i can use to recover raid 0 data or something? i do have a maxtor drive that i can install a temp operating system on, all i need off the raid is my gigabytes of data i have stored on there... and a few priceless items like a girls phone number Wink

RAID recovery is difficult, and expensive. Your best bet is to hope that the RAID Array can be read off another board.
