I'm thinking of updating my rig, was looking at the SATA II hard drives available *I'm a seagate fan* The only ones are Hitachi, WD and Samsung... Anyone know if Samsung drives are any decent? I have a hitachi in my external with no problems, and I'm weary of WD. Think it would be worth it to give Samsung a shot? _________________ Nothing says good job like a firm open palmed slap on the behind.

I've had a 120gb Samsung that came in a compaq maybe 3 years ago. Its never given me any problems and has probably gone through more OS changes/reformats than I could count. Never had any problems with it. _________________ ABAP? What did you call me?

I have been a big fan of Seagate for a while, but Maxtor caught my eye recently (review coming this week). The choices in SATA-II are so limited, the best bet is to find a deal and look for a warranty of at least 3 years. 5 is nicer, though!
f#*@. I am running some old fahion scsi drives b!%@#. I love scsi drives. Downside is sometimes *nix and when installing windows it gives you an error occasionaly. _________________ I am lord Moloch. That of your titan. Now bow before me you mere mortal.
