Everything else seems to be running well. Games look normal, pictures look great. When I run video it looks really screwy though. It's hard to even explain, the colors are way off as if there is some trippy special effect turned on, and there is also a speckling effect on everything, like color static. It's on both Media Player and Power DVD so it doens't seem to be caused by one program. Does anyone know what this is?
thanks in advance
Yup, I got the 64 bit driver. I did just do a new install with the Windows though. The video worked before that. Now, also, I have two Administrator folders with duplicates of everything inside them. Isn't that weird? _________________ Lian Li PC-6077B

Yea that is a bit wierd. Power DVD runs fine on my Win64 machine.
Did you just reinstall over an old OS, or did you format/reinstall? If you just reinstalled over an old OS that could be part of the issue, remnants of the old OS could be over shadowing new stuff.
That one I thought I formatted/reinstalled over the original x64 install. I did it again last night but first I used Data Lifeguard Tools (utility for WD disks). I don't have much experience with that but it seemed strange that it took no time at all, and it was supposed to erase the whole disk. When I went ahead again with the Windows install it still said there was x amount of data in that partition. Either way though the duplicate folders are gone (there were other ones too, I noticed), so it did help it seems. It was really late when I did that so I didn't install any video software to see if it fixed it. I will this afternoon. _________________ Lian Li PC-6077B

Nope still no video. It's fuzzy funky colored weirdness. It looks like a special effect I've seen but can't think of the name of. _________________ Lian Li PC-6077B

I looked on Windows Knowledge base for x64. Didn't come up with anything there though. I'll try a few different searches but it doesn't look promising right now. I suppose I could try re-installing the video driver.... _________________ Lian Li PC-6077B
