So... What is your best? Mr. T

I am in no way extreme...

My best in pure MHz increase would be my P4 2.6 GHz that ran stable as high as 3.25 GHz.

My best in percentage would probably be a Slot A Athlon Thunderbird 750 MHz that ran at 1100 MHz with a Northwind GFD.

Anyone remember GFDs?

present machine has a Athlon XP Mobile 2600+ 512K L2. Stock is 133FSBx15=2000mhz @ 1.45v. I get 210FSB(CAS2)x13= 2730mhz aircooled at 1.725v.

My old Slot A held the highest OC on the net for awhile. It was a 700mhz with the external 512KB L2. ...NOT the T-Bird core Slot A. Using one of them GFD's, I got 1227mhz.

Oh, and I have my old screenie, too. People started telling me 2.6Cs shouldn't overclock like that Laughing so I backed it off a little, and still run over 3 GHz...

curent best in percentage.

Socket a, Athlon xp 3000+
Stock 2158mhz - 13x166

O/C 2600 - 13x200

To date I was only able to find one other person to get a athlon xp 3000+ (locked multi) to 2.6ghz. I find a lot of 2.5+

Stable prime 95 torture test 24 hourse. 51C air cooled. 23C after building computer in mini fridge. Yes the computer was actualy 100% in mini fridge.

I am doing a new one. Slowly. I was hoping fridge would let more. No. Could never hit 201mhz fsb.

My best is a Athlon XP 1700+ T-bred A core at 2GHz (1.47GHz stock) on air cooling and an AXP 1700+ T-bred B core at 2.5GHz on the same cooling.

I'm about to replace that B core with a 2400+ 45W mobile chip because my dad fried the B core by touching a fan wire to the heatsink (took the mobo out too). So I'll see how high that'll go on air.

Oh, and I remember GFDs, I used one on a chipped 700MHz Athy, only got it to 950MHz due to the chip.

I remember once I seen this dude take his 2500+ mobile and hit 3.1ghz. I was just like omg.

I have seen the unlocked athlon xp 3000+ hit well over 2.6ghz. But with those multi's at 13. They just dont go higher.
