OK I got a new case and moved my system into it today. System consists of

Asus A7N8X-E
Mobil 2400+
1 gig PC3200 2x512
ATI 9600 Pro
Maxtor 40 gig (yeah I know)

Anyway when I got it all put in the case it did not want to boot giving me a checksum error. So I pulled the CMOS battery and used the jumper to clear CMOS. It booted up and went into Windows. So I check and it is running at 533MHz so I reboot to go into bios and get the checksum error. Now the way it sits when I boot it up it shows the checksum error and says to push F1 to continue or DEL to enter set up. If I go into the bios I can set everything up but when I "Exit and Save" it restarts and just goes to a black screen. Fans and everything are running but that is it. Only way I can get any activity again is to pull the CMOS battery. If I go with the F1 it loads into Windows and all is good except I am running at 533MHz and if I have to restart I have to pull the damn CMOS battery. Thinking it might actually be a bad battery I replaced it but still the same thing. Any ideas or suggestions guys?

Could be a bad BIOS. Have you updated it yet? Get on the ASUS webste and download the BIOS update and re-flash it if you have to. Could also be the CPU or RAM...but check the easiest thing first.
