Niether one I mentioned is a graphics card... just a PCI card. Tie it into whatever graphics card you want, but the XGI ones are nice with the true HDTV out!

Well, I for one went with RP HDTV. Hitachi's top-o-the-line 65" (last yr's model) It takes up quite a footprint (roughly 5' x 3') but if ya got a large room to throw it in, it's perfect. I sit about 16-18' away from mine, and it looks fantastic.

A cheap, well-needed calibration would be just what the doctor ordered, too. I calibrated my own with my own Sencore equip. and my picture's perfect. If you had someone come and do it, it would run around $300-$500

And yes, T-shirt's correct. The best HDTV signal is OTA broadcasts. FCC regulates channel bandwidth to 6Mhz max. where-as OTA is "uncompressed" I just got a $90 OTA HDTV antenna and located 6 HDTV broadcast stations nearby from the Toledo area. I'll be KISS testing these and see how it works out one weekend. Grin

If you'd like to find HD channels in your area, check out www.antennaweb.com and look for the "red" channels Smile

Wood - What's the range for a OTA signal? Is it the same, better, or worse than a standard broadcast?

I have the ATI HDTV Wonder with a tiny little OTA antenna... I can still get some of the basic channels tuned in and it looks/sounds awesome!
