You might find this amusing... (in case you don't get it... I'm installing CentOS on a MS Virtual PC)

Thats great. Always found it funny when I did it.
The new version of MS Virtual PC will even list Linux as an OS type. Dont exactly know what that will mean. selecting other seems to work fine.

Yep, it's working fine. Virtual Server might list Linux, I'll have to check. Only thing I found out is I had to use a pre-configured HDD size, the installer hacked up a lung when I tried using a dynamic one.

Pretty cool though on Virtual PC I installed the OS directly from the ISO's I d/l'd. Didn't even have to burn them to CD.

Never heard of CentOS.

I've used VMWare Workstation on my aunt's XP box run DragonFly BSD, and something else I can't remember. It worked pretty well as far as I could tell (I didn't actually use it for anything, just playing around).

Edit: I knew the interface looked like Redhat, they used the source for Redhat to make it.

CentOS is the open-open source version of RedHat Enterprise... The site is now running on CentOS 3.4, where we used to be on RedHat Enterprise 3... Same thing, you just can't show the RedHat logo or they'll sue you... Laughing

Well it's "installed" but when it tries to bring up Gnome it sorta "blows up". The screen get's all buggy wired.
