My first and last time using UPS... bloody money grabbing fools..

I ordered a package from the states, cost 19 usd for the standard service to ship to canada. The UPS driver comes by and tells me i need to pay a total of 78 Canadian to receive my package, i'm like wtf what for..

They have a damn brokerage fee which charges a ridiculous amount of money they charged me about 40 Canadian plus tax on that, and to top it off they added tax to the value of my package...

There goes my saving from buying in the states i was better off buying from Canada...

USPS or FEDEX is the way to go i hope UPS goes out of business Censored Bang Head Censored

Long time Dr. P,

Sorry to hear that, I rarely use UPS anymore. More BS I have to go through to get packages on base. USPS hasn't been to bad, and fedex is straight up awsome.

we stopped using ups completly to sent things out at work. Now, if we want them delivered quickly we use DHL, or normally a carrier call Mercury International. Although,i have been known to get stuff delivered to work, so there are no customs fees then Grin

Only reasons I use UPS is because we have a UPS pickup center at work and their tracking works better than Fedex.

Fedex is much faster, USPS seems to be cheaper for shipping abroad.

I don't use UPS any more, and avoid USPS when popssible. You could still get stuck on duties and what not from companies other than UPS, but the process seems to be more clear up front to avoid it.

UPS and USPS are generally out for me, because even with my low volume of shipments, signing up for a FedEx account online makes my shipments cheaper than even USPS Priority.

I shipped UPS to canada once, there wasn't any problems on it.

I like to use FedEx more often becasue they are cheaper many times, but I don't have a close FedEx location to my house. The Kinko's that's about 10 miles away is filled with phucktards.

A loooong time ago when I ran my own company I shipped a very expensive high end computer to someone in a different state. FedEx dropped it and got it all screwed up. But that's the only problem I've had with any company. Well... then again one company (FedEx or UPS can't remember) lost my drop off authorization and it caused me a few extra days with out my stuff... that stung. Laughing
