I have been to Kona on the big island three times. It's a beautiful place with lots of different climates, an active volcano, Mauna Loa macadamia nut factory Wink, amazing beaches, and the best part: very few tourists. Sun Sun Sun Sun Sun Sun

Maui was awsome when I went

looks like the upper half of a lady ............. yay boobies

I stayed at a really nice hotel with a Koi pond and all that stuff, learned how to scuba dive/passed the little test they give you (its like getting a drivers permit but for scuba diving), and got to go hiking on these incredible mountains, etc... (I'll try not to talk to much)

dont know what Kauai is like but if its anything like Maui it will be worth it

been to honolulu (even left the airport for an overnight once) and to maui for 10-14 days 3 times (inlaws live there)
I would like to go Kauai and the big island next time (in a couple years they'll have high speed ferries between some of the islands)
very different than home.
Food is usually very expensive, (everything not grown there is shipped/flown-in, and it is tourist land)
what to see depends on what you like.
seafood local fish/ fruit/asian is the best bet in resturants.
Kauai is pretty small, but still rent a small car, best hotel deals are usually linked to plane tickets (see a travel agent)

I've been to Oahu and Maui. I think you should definitely check out Oahu because of Pearl Harbor. It's real touristy though, but that means there is a lot to do.

Maui is very pretty and a little more laid back then Oahu.

My friend went to Kauai on her honeymoon and had a blast so she recommends that island.

Also, it's pretty cheap to stay at one island and fly around to the others, at least it was when I was there.
