been to honolulu (even left the airport for an overnight once) and to maui for 10-14 days 3 times (inlaws live there)
I would like to go Kauai and the big island next time (in a couple years they'll have high speed ferries between some of the islands)
very different than home.
Food is usually very expensive, (everything not grown there is shipped/flown-in, and it is tourist land)
what to see depends on what you like.
seafood local fish/ fruit/asian is the best bet in resturants.
Kauai is pretty small, but still rent a small car, best hotel deals are usually linked to plane tickets (see a travel agent) |
