you're all wimps! local station was $2.57.9 for the cheap stuff, and $2.91.9 for premium.
The stupid part is ALL the oil supply from western washington comes from Alaska, and cost of production is virtually the same or very slightly higher then it was a couple years back when gass was $0.97.9 (wages up slightly, electrical costs up 50%, fuel costs for tankers are way up, but those are a small part of the product cost)
so where does the extra $1.50 +++ go?

of, course it helps that while my parents are in Italy, I can use their Prius for any long trips, but the rider mower (which gets about 1 hour to the gallon) will cost $20-30+ to mow the field this week (first mowing of the year, grass is tall and thick)
wonder if I can mod the Prius for a mower deck?

Buy a sheep. They're easy to maintain, they cut the grass, fertilize AND you can shear them for wool and when you decide to move, you can either include him in the sale price or take a little trip to the butcher.

Laughing That's what the Marine Corps uses on Camp Pendleton. They had 2 or 3 flocks running around there. One time at band camp... errr wait wrong story.... I mean on base they were behind our motor pool and one of them sounded like they kept saying "Roooon", and Ron happend to be one of our guys names. Everyone from the Staff Sgt on down gave him crap for that... I think even the LT did too.Laughing

Crude oil is a commodity. Today light Crude is up $1.92 to $52.29 a barrel. When gas was down around $1.59 crude was more like 28-30 a barrel. A barrel is 42 gallons by the way not 55 like in a steel drum.

Check your paper every day and you can for the most part, plot the increase or decrease for the next week by the trend of the crude price.

That is a completely different subject that I don't have the slightest idea of how to address. The study of that is a profession in itself. It has to do with supply and demand, OPEC, ...um... thats all I got.
