Hey, My boss drafted me to set up a VPN for our server at work so he can get to our files off site. Any one got some good links I could read up on it. I found a few, one from microsoft, but wanted to read up on the subject in general to get a better feel for it. thanks

Microsoft's "solutions" are just more problems and about as secure as a cardboard box. Go check out Checkpoint Firewall-1 and look at Securemote. It's a little pricey, but you may (should) already have firewall-1 running if you're at all serious about security. It is the absolute cadillac of firewalls. |

Im a bigtime fane of hte Nortel Conetivity line. We are running several 600 series boxes around our organization.
Good and flexable solution. _________________ http://www.tech-daddy.com |

well at the moment i just need it to so we can log on from a remote location and my boss can upload his updates to our database, which is in access so it would pretty much just be uploading a newer database file. the idea is just to use whats described on mirco$ofts site to do it. I know windows has a setup for it. but is it that easy? Never had a setup for windows work the way MS whitepapers say they will |
