Hayward, CA (April 6, 2005) – DFI, the maker of the most award winning Lanparty motherboards, is pleased to announce the release of the exclusive PC-5000 EL Platinum series from its memory partner, OCZ Technology Group, a line of memory specially designed for use with its highly-popular Lanparty NF4 motherboard series.

As a recognized pioneer in offering the highest possible memory frequencies, OCZ developed the PC-5000 Platinum DFI nF4 Special series with performance enthusiasts in mind. This ground-breaking member of the proprietary OCZ Platinum series is custom-built for premium operation on the full spectrum of the high performance DFI Lanparty nF4 motherboard series. At the extreme speed of 625MHz, the combination is capable of 3-4-4-10 timings at this elevated front side bus.

“Motherboards and memory modules are always considered the two most critical factors for achieving excellent performance, but truly perfect matches can be challenging to find, and a tailor-made memory module for a specific motherboard catering to enthusiasts is unprecedented.” stated Jacky Huang, General Manager, DFI Inc. “But today the dream comes true through the collaboration from the two top notch companies in the OC industry. I believe, this perfect match will not only provide a convenient solution to the market, but also, start a new era of joint development among multiple components to achieve the ultimate performance for enthusiasts.”

“The OCZ PC-5000 EL DDR Platinum DFI nF4 Special underscores the commitment of OCZ to work as closely as possible with the motherboard manufacturers to achieve the highest possible performance,” said Dr. Michael Schuette, Director of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. “Whoever provides the infrastructure to enable high memory speed will receive full support by OCZ Technology. In other words, you ask for the seemingly impossible and we will work with you to make it happen.”

Due to this timely collaboration between DFI and OCZ, this combination offers performance benefits that ensure the greatest over clocking experiences available today.

Its funny... The DFI contact quit last week and is now at Corsair (and sent me the other press release today). Corsair and DFI used to be buddies, and actually through a party together that Spire and I went to... Now, the first press release from the new person at DFI is about an alliance with OCZ?!? WTF

Um... Thats only 312.5 FSB speeds...

Any Samsung TCCD chipped memory modules are capable of 315 FSB (630) (at least in my testing on the DFI NF4 boards)

The timings also bother me. Without much effort, I can get to 315 FSB with 2.5 not 3...

I'm not sure why OCZ is doing this...

Maybe I need to threaten OCZ Ryan with an a$$ slap (for Cheeze, of course) to see if that gets us a sample to review... Laughing

Mwahahahaha, why I was just thinking that, however, I bet 10 to 1 its just TCCD with special SPD settings.

Now if they worked some magic is SPD, this could be a breakthrough, but it would take more than 625 to impress.
