This is a wireless router? Oh, OK... I was talking wired, but it should be the same thing... If the WAN light is blinking, that would be for traffic from your broadband connection... and it probably just indicates a connection is present.

I got a decent wireless setup article coming up tomorrow night... Grin

I don't think I'd be too worried about it Fox... it's a pretty normal kid of thing.

{start pimping} You can also go over to Networks Today and ask network related questions. {/end pimp}

Wan blink is a a sign of activity, depending on the Mfg'er either off or on repersents actual transaction in progress.
with a cable modem it well blink continously, some DSL connections only blink in response to your requests.
more important is the individual port lights on wired or the Wlan on a Wlan.

Right on the money with a cable modem, since you are getting traffic from neighbors and such still. Remember your on the same subnet as your buddies in your community, so you'll get their broadcast traffic and other nonsense (including the script kiddie down the street port scanning your router). Wouldn't worry about it, I get it too and I got Comcast, I just check my logs frequently and write down the IP of whomever tries anything.
