Right on the money with a cable modem, since you are getting traffic from neighbors and such still. Remember your on the same subnet as your buddies in your community, so you'll get their broadcast traffic and other nonsense (including the script kiddie down the street port scanning your router). Wouldn't worry about it, I get it too and I got Comcast, I just check my logs frequently and write down the IP of whomever tries anything.
