Sharp aquos 26" HDTVs have DVI in and say they can be used as a pc monitor. The resolution though is 1366x768?? Seems good for tv but not for a monitor. Right? I wanted to get something to watch movies and play games on(5.1), but also use for other apps.
Cool thanks! I'm still limited by that 768 part though right? My 17" monitor is at 1280x1024. It seems like it would be really big, or grainy, for text.
I have a friend who is really picky about things like resoultiona dn hertz and he set his own in the registry i dunno how he did it but if you want me to ask i can. _________________ Ignore this^^
Yeah, not having bought it yet though would be expensive trial and error. I hoped someone who had already tried it could clue me in....

I just got a HDTV that supports 1080i and 720p, and I run it in 720p for movies and general web surfing... thats 1280x720 resolution. The screen isn't as tall as I am used to, but it looks great! But, I can still go back to other non-wide screen resolutions in the control panel, and it looks really nice still...
