This once again confirms that the most important information in your life won't come from a teacher, the library or the Internet, but from a mentor and on a very personal level.

My long-passed grandfather's birthday is coming up, and for me it is a time to reminisce about the long walks we used to take. The long drives. The special trips he would make to pick me up so I could spend weekends with him, and the advice he used to give. Much was wasted because I was young when he died.

If he were alive today and sharing his gems of wisdom, I'd be a better man. Those gems were all well and good, but the one I remember most, the jewel in the crown of grandfatherly advice, came when he paused, looked me in the eye and said, "Son......don't marry a woman with big hands. It makes your pecker look small."

true story:
back when I lived in Tampa, we had a problem with a stray cat that drove our dogs and the neighbor's dogs nuts. ..I used to just shoot them, but that would draw police in like flies on poop.

So, one evening I decided to run down that cat with my newly purchased HD Sportster(used, 1970's model).

..well, that cat took off like a rocket. but I caught up to it pretty quick. I was chasing it behind a church when all fo a sudden I came across some leaves that had fallen to the ground. ...UH OH. If you dont know, leaves with street tires is like driving on ice. ...so, the bike goes down, I do some aerial acrobatics after catching the handle bars on the bikes way down and my way forward..

Tumble, crash, bang..

My friends pick me up and do their Starkey and Hutch driving impersonation on the way to St. Joseph's Hospital... damn near killing me a few times more than what I just tried minutes before.

I get there, the doc's and nurses are casting me arms, shoulder, spine and knees up.. ..then MOM walks in, takes one look at me as says. "Didn't I tell you chasing pu$$y would get you killed??!!".

laughter from the entire floor could be heard...
